Ginger was a big going bitch and that showed a lot of promise. "She had a reputation for her powerful, wide ranging ground race and a highly animated style around game."
During her career she accumulated 35 quality placements; including 17 firsts placements. She gained a reputation for her powerful, wide ranging ground race and a highly animated style around game. She quickly finished both her field titles and in 1987 capped her career by winning the ABC National Amateur All-Age Championship.”
The Missouri Brittany Club takes great pride in presenting the nomination of NAC/FC/AFC SCOTT'S GINGERBREAD LADY for the Hall of Fame. "GINGER" was bred by club member Rosco Staton. She was owned and compaigned by Joan and Scott Hoven, who, during her lifetime, were active members of the Missouri Brittany Club.
GINGER burst onto the field trial scene during the fall trial season in 1983. Like so many before her, she showed up with an enthusiastic owner who may not have known for sure what he had, but he sensed it was real good. And good she was! During her career she accumulated 35 quality placements; 17 firsts, 9 seconds, 6 thirds, and 3 forths. She gained a reputation for her powerful, wide ranging, ground race and a highly animated style around game. She quickly finished both her field titles and in 1987 capped her career by winning the National Amateur All-Age Champoinship at Blue Mountain, outside Booneville, Arkansas.
GINGER's field trial accomplishments were equalled by her production record. She was bred 7 times to 5 different sires. Each of her litters produced field winners. She produced NC/FC/AFC AUX ARC'S MARK, 1 Dual Champion, 3 Field Champions, 5 Amateur Field Champions, 1 central futurity winner, and 1 central futurity runner-up. She produced 18 different winners who amassed a total of 210 field placements. The accompanying chart illustrates the overal quality of her get.
During the course of her career, GINGER had brief flings with various pros but she was basically an owner's dog. She probably spent much time at hom on the couch as she did on a stakeout chain. Her personality showed it.
GINGER deomonstrated her stanmina, drive, bird-finding ability and hear in the field. We feel her consistent performance record, along with heer obvious ability to pass these traits on, qualify her for admission int the Hall of Fame.
