Maxwell Riddle was a world renown Dog Show Judge, Author of 14 breed books and Associate Editor of DOG WORLD. He worked for 35 years from 1938-1969 for the Cleveland Press as a feature writer and reporter. His syndicated dog column ran for 30 years.
He was a founder and past President of the Dog Writers Association of America, was named DWAA Dog Writer of the Year three times and was inducted into the DWAA Hall of Fame in 2006. The founding member of the Ravenna Kennel Club, he served as President for 47 years and wrote a column for Dog World for 50 years.
An AKC Dog Judge, he judged in Japan, South America, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Canada, Australia and all over Europe and is a past President of the Board of Directors of the American Kennel Club.
He was known in his day as the greatest authority on dogs and wrote many books on puppy training and various other dog subjects. He was known all over the world as a dog expert.
